Should you be coming to Cracow for the purpose of shopping or business, Puro Hotel Kraków will be the right choice. The property is located right in front of the biggest shopping mall in the centre of Cracow. It is a 5 minute walk to the main railway and bus station and a 15 minute pleasurable stroll to the Main Market – in the center of the splendid Old Town. Worth mentioning is also the significant advantage of the tram stop right in front of the hotel door. The tram will take you to the currently trendy part of Kazimierz district.
Although the whole concept is soaked in total minimalism, it all comes into an actually very rich and full of details integrity. Rooms are simple without redundant furniture, art and lightning pieces. Wallpaper alludes to traditional folk cutouts - sweet! - warm, greyish colours with white and yellow highlights perfectly add warmth and decorate the room at the same time. Very Scandinavian design overall.
The rooms are bright and there is an option of opening the windows as well. Although the streets are busy all the time the rooms are perfectly muted! You will sleep tight!
The only controversial yet interesting facility will be the bathroom - all in glass. It looks entertaining, however it is definitely for people who have no challenges with lack of privacy. There is a curtain - in case you panic. Actually fantastic for couples!
All the public areas similarly as rooms have this Scandinavian yet not cold minimalism in harmony with other colour highlights. I felt super cosy in the restaurant that has beautiful, orange, decorative cutout pieces on the back wall.
Expect sincere friendliness, smiles and non-intrusive service. I was under the impression of Damian who was the supervisor if I remember correctly. He showed me around and answered patiently all my questions. Well done Damian! He pointed out the impressive control system on tablets in the rooms as well as the coffee machine where all guests can enjoy free 5 hot beverages per day! WOW! He has also introduced me to the self check in/out system - noteworthy for those who don`t like to be bothered or are in a rush.
I would only question the "a little too much casual" uniforms but isn`t a genuine smile making the colleagues well dressed enough?!
