In the late 2012 I had a great honor to participate in Ms. Ive`s famous 7 Star Butler Service Course. Since the very first day I knew that meeting this charismatic lady would change my vision, approach, attitude, feeling and understanding of the hospitality industry. And I was absolutely right, not only mine but my teams as well.
Ms. Josephine Ive inherited the passion for luxury service from her parents, who both were professional butlers in the UK`s most eminent households. She grew up with an excellent understanding of this prestigious profession, soaking in all the indispensable skills. The apogee of her exquisite career in butlering was to be the first female butler in UK serving The Queen Mother, Queen Elizabeth and the British High Court Judges. There is no bigger honor, opportunity and experience that one can gain than serving the Royal Family.
Currently, leading and managing, training and coaching keeps Ms. Ive`s schedule tight. She is the Principal and Trainer at Yacht Stewardess, Asia Butler Academy, Director, Principal and Trainer at Magnums Butlers (the longest running butler school in the world, since 1987) – the world`s indisputable leader in luxury butler service training. Her wide selection of courses includes Food Service & Silver Service Course, Barista Coffee and Hot Beverages Course, Luxury 7 Star Butler Service Course, Concierge, Club Lounge and many more (for the full list, kindly refer to the gallery attached below). After accomplishing the course, participants receive a certification accredited by PYA and approved by ISO 90001. Noteworthy is the fact that ms. Ive is also the founder of The THYME Foundation.
I assume, the first question you would raise is how your hotel and colleagues can benefit from those trainings. Well, there are many answers to that question, I partially answered it in the first paragraph – how significantly it influenced me. My team? It must be emphasized that this kind of trainings increases the staff`s interest and we all know that without interest there is no awareness, motivation, effort, efficiency and satisfying outcomes. It is not only a ‘multivitamin injection’ to an excellent service but also a source of courage, comfort and confidence for proper service. Your colleagues will definitely know HOW to do it right, so you can sleep calmly at night knowing that your teams are absolutely ready for delighting the guests.
Ms. Ive currently covers all continents with her trainings, she prepared teams of the most luxurious yachts such as MY Topaz, MY Octopus and hotels such as Burj Al Arab in the world etc..
